We Are OCD about QC
Our comprehensive QC process has one simple goal: to ensure the best possible quality for your release.
We are end-users, film lovers and collectors ourselves, and know exactly what to look for when it comes to flagging all types of disc issues, from the obvious encoding or A/V and navigation glitches, to ensuring the correct use of idiomatic expressions in multiple languages.
We are fluent in English, Spanish and Italian, and can advise on the best possible subtitle edits and corrections in all three cases. German and French services are available upon request as well.
Our all-inclusive QC process includes checking for and flagging the following points:
Video (UHD / HDR):
• Dolby Vision metadata sync issues
• tone mapping issues
• color space issues
• restoration / transfer issues and mistakes

Audio
• sync issues
• noises (pops, clicks, distortion, etc.)
• branching issues (skips, jumps, etc.)
• encoding issues (silent gaps, drops, etc.)
• surround sound mixing / level issues
Navigation
• ensure proper navigation and functionality of Menus
• look for typos or mistakes on Menu blurbs and texts
• ensure audio tracks are correctly identified and flagged
• check Pop Up Menus and ensure full functionality
• check disc on multiple player brands to identify potential compatibility issues (upon request)
Video (HD / SDR)
• compression issues and artifacting
• encoding errors or digital glitches
• seamless branching issues
• frame drops and frame rate issues
• overall transfer quality
Subtitles
• typos, grammatical errors, etc.
• translation errors
(we are fluent in English / Spanish / Italian)
• sync and timing issues
• language ID issues
Special Features
• all of the above applies here as well, plus:
• check commentaries and ensure sync against background audio and on-screen action
• flag potentially problematic comments
• check all special features in full for all the issue described above.
What We Use:
We perform tests on different set-ups (fully treated and dedicated rooms), all with multiple player options. This allows us to look for and flag all aspects of quality as well as potential compatibility issues in an ideal viewing environment.
Our players are modified to play discs from all regions and zones. We can also play BD-folder "builds" and ISO/IMG files, fully eliminating the need for costly physical check discs and shipping fees, as well as dramatically streamlining and expediting the entire QC process.

Just like our clients, we are not an oversized outfit with complicated business hierarchies and unruly overheads. This means we can:

• guarantee fast turnaround times: usually less than 72 hrs. and often within 2 days
(rush, same-day rates are also available upon request)
• respond quickly to e-mails (usually within the hour, and certainly on the same day).

• work in an environment that perfectly mimics the end-user's playback conditions

Our personal reference film library includes 2500+ titles (from LaserDiscs to UHD discs) and, upon request, we can also compare new transfers against previous releases to check for aspect ratio discrepancies, ensure no footage is missing, or advise on the smallest details that only a true cinephile would obsess over.
All our QC findings are prepared in writing on a detailed report, or we can upload this info to a shared online platform of your choice.
Avoid issues that can lead to extremely costly recalls or replacement programs!
